Finally remembered

Took about silly with a computer. Forgot how to blog thus haven't been. But now I'm back LOL
Been totally flat out painting buttons, writting patterns, teaching, travelling and of course, stitching and quilting.
Travelled to Tannum Sands (Gladstone) to teach at a retreat.

Took Mike, my son with me. This was him having breakfast on the way up. He was sorry he came??
Called in on Patchwork on Pallas too. Have never seen so much stock in such a small shop. Totally amazing! Something for every one

One little hallway

Another bit of the shop

- but wait there is more

And more

Got totaaly overwhelmed at this point and my camera went flat. The girls where great and so helpful with lightening my wallet and carrying stuff to the car.....
Well worth the stop if you are heading north

Cooparoo Quilters Retreat

Guess who is on a retreat, sewing up a storm

Totally thrilled as I just won a set of 6 blocks.(only 5 draws)

Here is the block I made. Fabric in the corner is the challenge fabric

Also just had the Christmas in July dinner and presents. Dorothy made me this fabulous set of cushions.

How good are they for a 'chook lovin gal' for the new chocolate colored lounge suite!
So I am cooking with gas as I have also put binding on three quilts, made a large single shaggy quilt with matching pillow sham and the night is still young.

Being a truckers mole today

Got up this morning all excited to unload a kiln and send out the mail. The kiln had failed and I was totally disgusted. So I set out with John in his work truck instead. Keen eyes open for patchwork shops so he can have his lunch break. LOL

John doing his'ten for big buddy' impression. LOL

Threads and more threads

Sew here I sit after at least 2 hours. Got a heap of the beautiful Cosmo threads at the wholesale show last week.

Winding threads onto cardboard can sure take time.

And as you can see I have alot of spaces to fill. The thread feels gorgeous though.

Good office staff is hard to find

You know you're in strife when you really do have 'birdbrains' on the computer!!

I keep telling you all I can't do compters so maybe Henry and Freddie can do it better....

Speed typing is much easier when their are two of you

Beenleigh Quilt Show

When you are as lucky as me you have wonderful friends to help you when life gets crazy. Joy from Joys Patch is sharing a stand with me at the quilt show which runs from 9am to 4pm today and tomorrow at the Beenleigh Show Grounds.

Between the two of us we have a huge display and lots of goodies for you to see. Joy has gorgeous patterns. Please say hi to her for me.
I am off to the wholesale show in Sydney this morning. Just had breakie in the Qantas Club. Can't say I miss the traveling. But breakie is good. LOL

So I'm off to show my wares and see how I go. Hope you wish me well!!

Robyn pandolf quilt

After quilting like a mad thing for the last couple of weeks, my new quilt design sample is finally finished!! Yahoo

Pictured here on my lovely old bed

The quilting part I left to my number one favourite Quilters, Genevieve Jackson in Laidley

I hope you can see the detail of all her beautiful work. The quilt will be featured as a pattern in the November issue of Australian Patchwork & Quilting. Fabrics will be available in stores across Australia in the next couple of weeks.
